Individual Counselling or Psychotherapy with one of our qualified professionals

Supervision

Providing supervision to mental health professionals.

Jessica takes a person-centered approach, viewing each client as the expert of their own experiences. Her aim is to create a collaborative space where clients can safely work through anxiety, loss, grief, life transitions, co-dependency, depression, overwhelm, uncertainty and/or a lack of meaning and purpose. Jessica enjoys working with individuals who may be feeling stuck and misaligned from their own personal meaning and values, while exploring their authentic selves, peeling back any layers or patterns that no longer serve them.

You can expect sessions with Jessica to incorporate components of Mindful-Based Cognitive Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her educational history involves a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilfrid Laurier University majoring in Psychology and Biology, a Behavioural Science program from George Brown College, as well as a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

I enjoy working with people to achieve a sense of overall fulfillment. Using warm and encouraging support, I work together with clients to help them rediscover their confidence, find life balance and enjoy every aspect of their lives. I believe that each person’s story is unique, and that using an integrated approach is often ideal to maintain long term success.

I have worked with individuals and couples, and my experience and interest includes working with women and men suffering from abuse and trauma, men and women with anger management issues, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress management, post-traumatic stress, marital issues, and relationship issues. Cultural awareness is important in building a therapeutic relationship with my clients, and I have had training in cultural sensitivity and experience working with culturally diverse groups.

In addition to my clinical pursuits, I have a passion for promotion overall mental health and wellness. I also supervise and train therapists, counsellors, clinicians and students in clinical practice and psychotherapeutic treatments and approaches.

I work with each client in a way that feels supportive and personalized, blending different therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs. My approach draws on psychodynamic, narrative, solution-focused, and client-centred therapies to help clients explore their stories, build resilience, and move toward meaningful growth. As a psychotherapist in training, I am developing my clinical skills under supervision, integrating evidence-based approaches with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for every individual. I am passionate about supporting people as they navigate life transitions, work through challenges, and discover new ways of relating to themselves and others. I believe each person’s life story is unique, and I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for clients to uncover strengths and foster personal growth. My own immigration journey from Eastern Europe has shaped both my personal identity and my perspective as a therapist. I understand the challenges of cultural adjustment, identity development, and resilience, which inform my commitment to culturally sensitive and inclusive practice for clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and hold an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University. I am a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Before clinical training, I worked in healthcare, finance, and luxury retail - experiences that gave me a broad perspective on the diverse challenges people face, and which continue to shape the empathy, curiousity, and flexibility I bring into therapy.

We all experience difficulties in our lives and sometimes need help. Therapy allows us to create the changes we want to see and grow into better versions of ourselves. My role is to create a safe and supportive environment, empowering you to make those changes. I’m dedicated to meeting you where you are and respecting what you’re ready for. I believe in client-centred, strength-based approach: I bring my knowledge and skills, and you bring your individual story. With extensive experience supporting youth and young adults, I understand the unique pressures and transitions you may face.

Together, we will explore how you envision a better life and find new ways to understand and face its challenges – things like anxiety, anger, depression, guilt, life transitions, relationships, identity, and self-esteem. I take a warm and practical approach, drawing from various evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour (DBT), Attachment-based, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Brief (SFBT).

Our identities shape how we experience the world, and I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I’m committed to providing a safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive space where we will explore your concerns, identify your strengths, and develop strategies for positive change.
